So, the third weekend into lockdown and this is no ordinary weekend. It’s Easter. Blue skies, sunshine and warm weather. Perfect weather for the long weekend apart from one small aspect – it is lockdown which means we can’t see one another. It was tough on everyone.
My way of enjoying Easter was to treat myself to two Easter eggs, they had somehow escaped the panic buying of the month before.
In order to get the most out of the four days, I decided to devote a different project to each day. So, on Good Friday I tidied up the garden after the winter months, on Easter Saturday I relaxed and read my book, on Easter Sunday I spring cleaned the garden shed and on Easter Monday I sorted out my box of baking ingredients, jobs that I had long been meaning to do.
And I started jogging, following the Couch to 5K app in order to build up my stamina. It was glorious running around the local park, embracing my wee bit of freedom and watching the new leaves slowly unfurl on the trees.
And the days over the Easter break just slipped by….
