A Pie Loving Owl

Evening,

Ah, froglettes, I just have to share this story with you.  I just haven’t stopped thinking about it today!

Last night, I had this weird dream.  I was in my kitchen making this delicious worm pie for lunch with Herring Gull Harry and Teacup when this sudden storm blew up.  It was raining so hard, the water was singing and it was very windy too.  Just as I put the finishing touches to my pie and put it on the kitchen table, my kitchen door suddenly flew open and the rain came in making a big puddle on the floor.

Now, as you know, I just love a rain storm and normally I would be doing somersaults outside in the street in celebration but today I was just too busy with my pie.  As I moved away from the kitchen table Barney the Owl – the cheeky bird, flew in over my head, his yellow eyes as big as saucers and took my pie away in his beak.

As he flew out of my door, I hopped after him but he was gone, flying up to his nest at the top of the tree and there was nothing I could do.  He had my wonderful, delicious pie and I had nothing.  He was laughing at the look on my face.

His laughing went on and on for what seemed like forever.  I put my hands over my ears but I couldn’t get rid of the sound.  That was, until I realised it was my alarm clock going off waking me up to a new day.

What a horrible dream, forglettes!
