Painting

Hello froglettes,

Herring Gull Harry, Teacup and I have just spent a fun day painting pictures. All different kinds of pictures and it even reached the point where we were using our hands and feet to make frogtastic patterns on the paper.

Things started off quietly enough and we each painted pictures of what we wanted. I got a little bored of the silence and everyone concentrating so I put a spot of paint on Teacup’s arm while she was busy concentrating on the finer details of a frog’s face.

“Hey, don’t do that, Errol,” she responded.

“Do what,” I answered in an innocent voice, shrugging my shoulders.

“You know, put paint on me,” came the reply.

Well a few minutes passed and then I sneaked a look a Herring gull Harry and put a quick spot of paint on his arm while he wasn’t looking.

“Right, Errol,” he said. “You’ve asked for this.” And quick as a flash, he leant over the table with his paint brush, put it in the water jar and then flicked the water all over me – and my painting master piece.

Well, what could a frog do but retaliate and I did but grabbing the water jar and putting my paint brush in and flicking the water all over Herring Gull Harry.

“Boys,” shouted a cross Teacup when some of the water went over her beautiful painting. She was still focused on her painting.

She watched us for a couple of moments and realising that Herring Gull Harry and I had a long way to go in our game, she grabbed a tube of orange paint and started squeezing it on me, then Herring Gull Harry and back on me again.

On and on and on we went like this for quite some time. By the time we were finished and sitting on the floor in an exhausted pile covered from head to foot in paint, not only us but the table, the floor and the lower parts of the walls were covered in paint, all the different colours mixed together like a rainbow.

We must have looked quite a comical sight!

Bye for now,

E
