Morning froglettes,

Well, well, well, it has been quite some week! As you already know, I just love it when it rains so I have been a very happy frog enjoying all these heavy rain showers with puddles everywhere and the rivers full of water.

This morning, Herring Gull Harry and I couldn’t resist going to the river with our coracles and racing each other through the currents down the river. It was lots of fun but what started off as fun ended up as a competition. Herring Gull Harry was accident-prone and because his coracle hit the rocks, so he kept on falling into the water (between you and me he is hopeless at steering his coracle around those rocks).

As for me, I fell in once when I was going down some very fast water and my coracle went out of control tipping me into the water.

However, the winner of these races was Tea Cup, a small froglette who had a tiny coracle compared to our’s. Herring Gull Harry and I met her while messing about on the river and when she asked if she could join us in our races, we said yes even though we were confident that we would beat her but, to our horror, it turned out that she beat us – and by some considerable distance too!!! Not once did she fall in the river when going down the water in tiny coracle and she was fast.

Now, after today’s events, froglets, I am going to spend all of tomorrow on the river practising racing in my coracle! I am one frog who is not going to be beaten again when coracle racing, especially by a froglette!

Well, bye for now,

E
